DEBURRING / BENCH OPERATIONS
Position Overview
Under general supervision, deburrs, grinds, polishes, and cleans parts that have been machined in order to provide a quality product that meets customer requirements. Inspects product to report any defects that occur from handling.
Qualifications/Experience
High school education or equivalent. Experience working in precision manufacturing preferred but willing to train the right candidate.
Responsibilities
Efficiently removes attached and “floating” burrs from piece parts in order to produce a quality product.
Inspects piece parts to ensure that defects caused in the material handling process are reported and corrected if possible.
Performs secondary machining operations, as needed, in order to maintain the highest use of human resources.
Inspects work for accuracy and completeness, ensuring the highest degree of quality.
Notifies Supervisor of any problems with procedures or equipment in order to maintain the highest degree of safety, inventory accuracy and productivity.
Maintains a high awareness of personal safety at all times.
Maintains working area in a neat and orderly manner.
Performs other related duties as necessary.
