Position Overview: With minimum supervision, performs deburring and assembly production-oriented duties using schedules, blueprints, machined parts, Bill of materials, machine tools – conventional, a wide variety of hand tools, special assembly tools & fixtures, micrometer, caliper, Pin gages and thread gages, liquid nitrogen, cleaning equipment and compressed air.

Responsibilities:

1. Establish methods for assembly techniques.
2. Establish a method for keeping track of special assembly tooling.
3. Help document assembly processes.
4. Monitor cycle times against quoted times and help achieve that goal.
5. Monitor the quality of the assembly operations.
6. Installing Helicoils, locking, non-locking tangs or tangles, lee plug, locking inserts, bearing, bushings and sleeves, valve body’s, studs installation and pins.
7. Manual and automatic Helicoil installation tools.
8. Using various kinds of loctites and sealants (zinc, chromate primer)
9. Understanding heat and freeze operations with nitrogen and dispatch oven.
10. Making some fixture or pin blocks and installing tools needed for assembly.
11. Good understanding of blueprints to assure proper installation of hardware.
12. Torque wrenches for studs and bolts installation, back out torque specifications.
13. Part making – Ink stamps or engraving parts.
14. Assist with CNC machining operation.

Requirements:/Qualifications:

Pay rate: From $25/hr. to $28/hr. to start depending on experience.
