CAD/CAM SPECIALIST (CNC PROGRAMMING)

Position Overview

Technical expertise in CAD/CAM systems. Organized. Good communication skills. Able to meet deadlines. Understands team concept. High level machining aptitude. Excellent computer skills.

Qualifications/Experience

High school diploma or equivalent. Technical College certificate in machine tool technology. Minimum five years experience in setup and operation of CNC horizontal and vertical machining centers. Two – eight axis CNC turning experience. Familiar with computer aided design. Minimum three years CNC programming experience.

Responsibilities

Utilize Mastercam programming system.
Create standard drawings.
Assist in creation of complex drawings.
Proficient in GD&T.
Understanding of feeds & speeds on a variety of cutting tools used in the industry.
Custom tool design.
Able to create operation drawings.
Assist in fixture design.
Create CAD & CAM models.
Provide technical support to manufacturing personnel.
Maintain updates on CAD/CAM & tooling files.
Assist Engineering manager in support activities.
Perform related duties as required.
Maintain an effective working relationship with fellow employees.
