PRODUCTION COORDINATOR/SCHEDULER

Position Overview

Under minimal supervision, plans and schedules activities thru various work centers and departments for consistent and accurate work flow.
Partners with sales, purchasing, engineering, department supervisors and shipping & receiving to communicate forecasts, documentation, delivery and throughput performance.

Qualifications

High school education or equivalent.
One or two-year technical college degree in machine tool trades preferred.
Minimum 2 yeas experience in production planning & scheduling in a multiple constraint, close tolerance precision machining environment. (Preferred)

Responsibilities

Maintain daily, weekly and monthly production schedule.
Revise production schedule when required, due to design changes, labor or material shortages, backlogs, maintenance or other unforeseen interruptions.
Communicates with plant personnel to coordinate production and eliminate delays.
Review and report daily production metrics and realigns complex work cells to meet and exceed production goals.
Adheres to and promotes all company safety rules and requirements.
Performs other related duties as necessary.
