Production Supervisor

Position Overview:

High level machining skills (conventional, CNC and peripherals). Exceptional problem solving abilities. Proficient in interacting with a wide variety of personality styles. Solid understanding of GD&T, SPC and inspection methods.

Responsibilities:

Administers manufacturing policies, programs and coordinates such activities to insure that products are manufactured on schedule and within quality standards and cost objectives.
Directs the activities of department employees, ensuring the highest standard of quality, safety and productivity.
Leads department personnel in the machining of customer products at the lowest cost consistent with established specifications as to quality and quantity in support of company objectives.
Monitors production schedules, ensuring that product is shipped on time in accordance with customer expectations and customer service objectives.
Establishes and enforces safety procedures and policies and assists in the identification of safety hazards or practices, ensuring the highest levels of personal and department safety are met.
Coordinates and collaborates with other departments of the company in establishing and carrying out responsibilities insuring a high level of inter-depatmental communication and cooperation.
Initiates and implements recommendations in matters of discipline, training, rate changes etc., and participates in creation of company policies and affect department employees.

 Required Experience:

Two-year technical degree certificate in machine tool technology, three to five years progressive experience in a precision machining environment, background in leadership and supervision.
