Under general direction, perform set up, minor repair and maintain overall cleanliness of production gauges, electronic equipment and gauging. Also maintain calibration system, procedures and records.
Perform setup, maintenance and repairs of measuring and test equipment.
Use precision measuring equipment, general inspection measuring tools, standard hand tools, records, reports and computer.
Coordinates the calibration of measuring and test equipment by outside sources.
Manage gauge calibration program information files including calibration records, inventory, recall periods and history.
Must have the ability to train other QA and manufacturing personnel in the operation and handling of measuring and test equipment.
Assist engineering and quality departments in the selection of proper measuring equipment for development and/or purchase.
Ability to carry out complicated assignments, report generation and data analysis using computer programs such as Excel, Word, Access and others in an accurate and timely manor with little supervision.
Able to perform First Article Inspections on complicated parts with little supervision.
High school graduate or equivalent. Post high school education in engineering, quality or machining. Must be able to read complicated blue prints. ASQC certification desirable.
Basic computer skills including MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
