Quality Assurance Tech Level III

Position Overview

Under minimum supervision, evaluate and report product conformance of vendor and finished product relative to established quality standards.
Utilize CMM, optical comparator hardness tester, surface plate, precision measuring tools and general inspection tools.
Record inspection results in accordance with ISO 9001, AS 9100 and company standards.

Qualifications

High school education or equivalent. Post high school education in engineering, quality or machining. Blue print reading and GD&T understanding. ASQC certification desirable. Familiar with ISO and AS requirements.

Responsibilities

The Machine Parts Inspector will assess and maintain the quality of first articles, production operations and final inspections.

Perform setups and operate CMM and interpret results.
Knowledge of all inspection equipment and calibration processes.
Perform first article inspections on complicated machined parts.
Perform receiving, in process and final inspection.
Perform inspection gage setup.
Ability to train other QA members.
