QUALITY ASSURANCE TECH TRAINEE

Position Overview

Under general supervision, evaluates and reports product conformance of vendor and finished product relative to established quality standards.

Qualifications

High School Education or equivalent. Post high school education in engineering, quality, or machining. Must be able to read blueprints.

Responsibilities

Inspects in-process products for conformance to specifications, performance inspections in all manufacturing department.
May stop production process as required upon encountering in-process quality defects.
Inspect vendor material to ensure conformance to K&G specification.
Collect inspection equipment is calibrated and repair as necessary.
Read and interprets blueprints for specification conformity.
Maintain computerized records of data pertaining to quality defects causes, and solutions to be used in the resolution of future production problems.
Notifies supervisor of any problems with procedures or equipment in order to maintain the highest degree of safety, inventory accuracy and productivity.
