SUPERVISOR, SECOND SHIFT

Position Overview

Administers manufacturing policies and programs and coordinates such activities to ensure that products are manufactured on schedule and within quality standards and cost objectives. Directs the activities of department employees ensuring the highest quality, safety and productivity.

Qualifications/Experience

Two year Technical College certificate in Machine Tool Technology. 3-5 years progressive experience in a CNC precision machining environment. Leadership and/or supervision background.

Responsibilities

Leads and directs department personnel in the machining of customer products.
Recommend changes for improved quality and productivity.
Creates and maintains a high standard of shop housekeeping and work station cleanliness ensuring that customer product is given the utmost care.
Initiates cost improvements and production procedures to effectively meet manufacturing objectives.
Coordinates and collaborates high level of inter-departmental communication and cooperation.
Initiates and implements recommendations in matters of discipline, training, rate changes etc.
Initiates problem solving solutions to keep production running smoothly.
Maintains high awareness of safety procedures.
Perform reasonably similar or related duties as required.
